Back in footy training

So I am back on the football pitch this week, training with SportSG’s football team ahead of our Government Service Football League game next Monday against LTA.

Some keepy uppy before the start of training.

It’s been a frustrating few months on the injury front for me, having suffered a grade 2 tear of my MCL in early June that ruled me out of action for 3 months. I am very blessed in a way as it was only my first knee injury in over 20 years of football, believe it or not. Though I have suffered other serious injuries, my knees have been left untroubled till recently.

Our reliable rightback posing with the ball.

Been told by coach that I will start Monday’s game up front with Aleks, which is good news. I’ve yet to start a game for SportSG this season due to my injury, though we have a hundred percent record and have already qualified for the semis.

Hoping that our team will keep that run going next week, and that I can add to the solitary league goal I’ve netted so far this season. Wish me luck!
